Fishing and Hunting Licenses
Anglers and Hunters must purchase non-resident licenses prior to arriving at camp. These are available at several bait/tackle stores and gas stations along the route to camp. To purchase a non-resident license, you must have a vaild Outdoors Card in addition to a valid drivers license, ID or Passport. The Outdoors Card is a new plastic, wallet-sized card issued by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and used for identification and administrative purposes. If you don't already have one, they will issue you a temporary Outdoors Card (paper) at the time you purchase your license that you must keep with your license for the duration of the trip. This will give you temporary exemption until your official card is mailed to your home address (usually 4-8 weeks). Bear hunters should bring an old license, deer tag or hunters safety card to show proof that you have prior hunting experience in the United States. Non-Canadian residents under 18 years of age may fish without a licence if accompanied by a person who has a valid Ontario-issued recreational fishing licence (or deemed licence). Any fish caught are part of the catch and possession limit of the person who holds the licence. As another option, non-Canadian residents under 18 years may purchase a licence and any fish caught apply to the catch and possession limits of that licence. * All prices in USD Outdoors Card: Fishing Licenses: Bear Hunting License: Non-resident's Bear Export permit: Firearm Permit: |
