Driving Milage:
Dryden - 130 kilometers (2 hours)When traveling into Canada from the US, you have the choice of two border crossings. Most customers use the International Falls crossing (calculated mileage above); however Grand Portage (Pigeon River) has become a popular alternative crossing point with less traffic congestion, friendly border patrol and scenic landscape. Both lead you right to camp, so it all comes down to preference.
Hunting and Fishing licenses can be purchased at several locations along your path through Ontario. A popular place in Sioux Lookout is Al's Sports on Front Street, ideal for last minute tackle, gear and licenses.
Around the corner from Al's Sports is Johnny's Market, a large market-fresh grocery store where you can find just about anything.
A few blocks down the road, in the direction of camp, you will find The Beer Store. No need to explain what you will find in there. Across the street you will find LCBO, which is where liquor is sold.
If you plan on relying on these places as your last resort before headng to Main Camp, try to time your arrival into Sioux Lookout with the store hours in mind. Al's Sports and The Beer Store open at 9am. Johnny's opens at 7am.
